What would it feel like to feel connected again?
To life?
To yourself?

For so many women, middle-age is a time when they realize how disconnected they feel. They realize that they’ve almost become numb to the world around them.

Wake up – go to work – come home – fix dinner – do laundry/dishes – go to bed.

Lather – rinse – repeat

Where did the joy go?

Where did the girl with the big dreams go?

Where did the LIFE part of living go?

Sound familiar?

CONNECT is a half-day retreat that is meant for any woman who wants to feel a deeper connection to herself, to find her joy again (it’s still there, I promise), and to experience the life she once promised herself she would live.

I hear some of you now.

“Will I have to sit in a circle and chant?”
“You’re not going to make me talk about my childhood trauma, are you?”
“Dear god, please don’t tell me I have to journal. I can’t journal.”

And the answer is absolutely not, nooooo, and well…

Look, I know that you may not be into journaling. The idea of sitting in front of a blank page with nothing but a pen and <shudder> yourself makes your skin crawl.

But consider this…

From the dawn of time, we have been storytellers. Before we had a written word, there were stories. Even after, we have stories!

They’re how we LEARN and remember our history.
They’re how we AWAKEN TO new concepts both big and small.
They’re how we CONNECT with one another.

And they’re how we connect with ourselves.

Whether the self-talk is good or bad

– newsflash, it’s usually less than productive –

we live within our life stories. We use them as touchstones and building blocks for who we are today. The big ones that had profound impacts on our lives are the ones we most easily can recount. But what about the smaller ones? What about the ones that we don’t breathe life-power into daily?

the small moments of pure bliss
the joyful experiences
the occasions of genuine delight

Wouldn’t it be great to recapture those? Wouldn’t it be life-changing to connect with them and the part of you that felt light and free and wholly whole?

That’s what CONNECT is all about.

And yes, there’s journaling. But this is journaling like you’ve never done before.

  • Entertaining, out-of-the-box, guided prompts to connect you with the you who’s been buried beneath piles of laundry and dishes and obligations for too long
  • Intuitive hits that will bring you closer to your joy
  • Short bursts of writing that don’t require you to get into the weeds of your darkest emotions (eewww, David)
  • Did I mention fun? Oh, it’s going to be fun! And there will be treats, so…

Look, when it comes to journaling, there’s no rule that says it has to be heavy and burdensome.

It can be FUN!
It can feel GOOD!
It can CONNECT you to a woman you may not have spent any time with lately.

And don’t you already have enough of “heavy and burdensome” in your life anyway? Here’s a chance to spend part of a day setting all of that aside to just FOCUS ON YOU and enjoy a relaxed and empowering time away from laundry, wondering what to cook for dinner (again), and anything else that may be on your plate.

So, if you’ve ever thought that journaling is just not your thing, this workshop is right up your alley. And if you already love journaling, this will be a whole new approach for you.

Who were you before the world told you who you should be? I’ll give you a sneak peek when you join me live and in person at CONNECT!
