When we think of Ginger Rogers, we almost always think of Fred Astaire. But Ginger was so much more
than just his sidekick. In fact, of the 73 films she is credited with, less than a dozen were with Astaire. She even won an Academy Award without him. She was fierce, tireless, and a strong advocate for herself in a time when that was an unusual thing for women. It’s no wonder that two of her lifelong friends with Bette Davis and Lucille Ball. Can you imagine the power those three women could wield together? Strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
